The Series I'd Like to Recommend You

skill will noticeably increase. Here are several famous and fun series’ I would
like to recommend. Choose one and enjoy them during this vacation!
1. Modern
family.
This series
is really famous for learning English in Korea. There are 7 seasons and each
season has 24 episodes. It has lots of stories about routines of modern
families in the USA. If you have not watched any of the episodes yet, I recommend
you try it. There are many general phrases used in daily life and the stories are
easy to understand, since they use less difficult vocabulary than other
American TV shows. And of course, it is funny!
2. Skins.
This is
about teenagers in England and the atmosphere in these series is very
depressing and dark. There are seven seasons and each of them has about 10
episodes. The characters in this series vary. Some of them are very naughty
while others are thoughtful. They find their own ways to deal with many problems.
The scenes have been taken in Bristol and this city has a unique English accent
and a lot of green parks. If you don’t like listening to swearing, be careful!
There is a lot of slang and swearing. However, it will also be a good
opportunity to learn that sort of language if you want.
3. Sherlock.
Do you want
to listen to and learn the British English accent? If so, this series will be
the most suitable for you. There are 3 seasons, which has 4 episodes
respectively. I am sure that everyone knows about Sherlock Homes. These are remakes
of that story, made more modern. Lots of audiences say that the main character
is very attractive, mentioning he is sensitive but so smart that he can solve
every difficult problem. And also, the main actor is Benedict Cumberbatch, who is really famous
in Korea for his acting skills. Many people fall love with him after watching
this series.
4. Lucky
Louie.
Do you know
Luis CK? He is a really famous comedian in the USA, and he is the main actor in
this drama. There are 13 episodes. This shows the
life of Louie, who earns little money; Louie's wife, Kim, a nurse and the
family breadwinner; and their four-year-old daughter, Lucy. As you guess, this
show is very funny since the main character is a comedian. The show was
recorded in front of live audience, so you can hear audiences laughing or
heckling.
5. Big Bang Theory.
Are you interested in science or space? Then choose these series! This show
is about four nerd guys. Their major is science, and all things they are talking
about are related to science even though they have less relevance. They share
an apartment together with a beautiful woman who has good social skills. A big
part of the humor is the contrast between the geekiness and enormous knowledge
of the four men, with the woman’s ignorance of science. It
consists of 9 seasons, and the latest season is still broadcasting now.
